Smart Life Score Guide

Know what your score means—and what to do next.

Your Smart Life Score is an educational measure of financial preparedness. It is designed to make your next step clearer, not to label or shame you.

Estimated vs. verified

An Estimated Score can use partial information so you receive value quickly. As you add real information and complete verified milestones, confidence rises. Assumed information does not qualify you for Smart Life Certified™.

What the score is not

It is not a credit score, underwriting score, medical score, guarantee of insurability, investment recommendation or substitute for legal, tax or regulated financial advice.

Certification requires a high score plus verified completion of required milestones.

The seven pillars

Protection

How well current protection matches household needs.

Estate readiness

Whether relevant wills, directives, guardianship and estate steps are organized.

Beneficiaries & organization

Whether important beneficiaries and documents are current and organized.

Retirement readiness

Whether your current path is aligned with future retirement needs for your stage of life.

Savings resilience

How prepared you are to absorb common financial shocks.

Debt health

How much high-interest debt may be limiting flexibility.

Financial literacy

Progress in understanding and applying core financial concepts.

Your Smart Life Action Plan

The goal is not to chase a number. Your plan translates your current score into three priorities: Now, Next, and Later. The system favors the highest-impact actions that make sense for your actual life stage and household—not force every person through the same checklist.
